WHAT'S BITING RIGHT NOW...
July-August-September: Hot weather has arrived! But the scorching days of summer don't mean that there isn't great fishing available. It only means that catching big fish and having a fun time on the lake now requires that we limit our fishing to early morning, late evening, and nighttime! The hottest days of summer often mean some of the best live bait and topwater fishing of the entire year. The fishing can be incredible in the cold water releases below our dams both early and late, and if you haven't cranked up a big striper from 75 to 100 ft deep at night, then you need to give that a try!
May-June: Have you always wanted to catch a BIG fish? Well, I can't think of any better time than during the late spring - early summer period before the truly hot weather arrives! May and June have historically been outstanding months to catch big fish and lots of them! Enormous largemouth, catfish, hybrids, and striped bass are very actively feeding right now, especially early in the mornings. Below are some pictures of fish caught in the last few days, with more to follow! If you enjoy catching fishing for big fish, don't wait! Let's go catch some together!
